Alimony / Spousal Support
n addition to determining the property distribution, the Court must determine whether either party is entitled to alimony (also called spousal support). This determination is fact driven and the Court must consider things like the duration of the marriage, the standard of living the parties established during their marriage, each party's age, physical and mental condition, and financial needs and resources. It is also up to the Court to determine how long alimony must be paid.
You want to make sure the court has all the facts and understands the circumstances when deciding whether to award you or your spouse alimony and our experienced family law attorneys can help make sure that happens.
